Notice to HIFICRITIC forum contributors and visitors:

We are moving to a new server, we are testing it now and hope we have got most of the bugs. We intend the transfer will be transparent to forum users.

If you formerly accessed the website via the hificritic.com website, you will continue to reach it in the same way. Some of you used to access the forum at the site address http://www.hificritic.com/forum that address will change. We will post the new address here shortly before we transfer.

You may need to re-enter your user id and password for the Forum, even if it used to be automatically filled in by your internet browser.

Please let us know if something does not work as expected and we ask for your patience while we address any problems that might turn up.

We are aware of the following problems:
Gravatar avatars are not working. We are awaiting a fix from the software developers of the forum. We have also encountered the odd difficulty with Internet Explorer 11; these are problems that affect certain kinds of Microsoft software in general; a fix for the forum has been supplied, but there may be further problems.

Stay with us, and thanks for your patience
Martin Colloms

As of 10 June, the forum is now hosted on a new server.

Two things to note:

1. There is a known problem with the avatar for anyone using a 'Gravatar' avatar. There is a fix in the pipeline for that, but we don't have a date for its release.

2. The direct address of the forum is now http://forum.hificritic.com. If you click on Forum in the hificritic.com menu, you are taken automatically to the new address. And for about a month, if you click on the old address you are taken to the new one automatically.

Apart from that, it should be business as usual.

Thanks again for your support.
