Bit of a cheeky request - does anyone here happen to have an electrostatic centre channel speaker that they'd like to sell? BigGrin Suspect not, but asking is free...

Background - as I've mentioned here before, I'm building a new house (primarily to meet 24/7 care needs) but thought we'd do cinema more or less "properly". Since I have a pair of 'Logans that will be doing double-duty as left & right front, I've been strongly advised to (a) not skimp on the centre, it does most of the work, and (b) tone/vendor-match across the front three speakers.

Trouble is, second-hand martin-logan centres are like hens teeth in the UK secondhand market. Hence my question :-)

Thanks!
Pete

Got one BigGrin. A Martin Logan "Stage", which is a pair of small sealed boxes each containing an aluminium-coned 5" woofer, a couple of feet apart with a curved 'stat panel slung between them.

Can't use it as a centre channel yet (nothing to plug it into!) but we spent an hour last night just playing one mono channel of music through it and as a hifi speaker it does a really good job. Not the deepest bass in the world but really fast and tight. Very foot-tapping. Looking forward to that.

Same guy has a pair of ML Prodigy speakers for sale. Sorely tempted. Martin (of this parish) called them upbeat (which I think translates as "times well") and gave them a "warm recommendation" back in 2000. They've allegedly been repanelled quite recently... Very tempting....
