Have not been on the site for some time but would have expected to read this sad news in the main stream press and at least a mention on the TV news stations.
Have the original Play Bach recording both on LP and CD plus his version of the Goldberg Variations which I enjoy as much as the other versions I have. Saw him at Snape Maltings about 4 years ago. Great evening.

Only saw one small report on this story as a short late night mention on BBC news 24. Agreed this is poor as he was a very important musician.
